STORYTELLING, WHAT AND HOW?

WHAT IS STORYTELLING?
•Story : an account of imaginary or real people and events told for entertainment.
•Telling: person-to-person oral and physical presentation

So, Storytelling is the conveying of events to the live audience by using language, vocalization, physical movement and gesture to reveal the elements and images of a story to a specific (visual method).

HOW TO PRESENT A STORY?
You need to do these preparations:
•Read the story several times; for pleasure first, and then find the characters and setting.
•Research its background and cultural meanings; find the social message.
•Analyze its appeal; find what can make your listeners interested.
•Visualize it; find the mood you want to create.

Then, deliver your story by using “H.A.D.I”
•H – Heartfelt; be earnest and sincere!
•A – Animation; use your voice, gestures, and facial expression.
•D – Dialog; make some different voices for different characters.
•I – Interactive; involve your audiences.
